Since the corps of engineers took ownership of the shoreline decades ago in order to preserve it’s natural beauty, very few properties have direct access. The boat ramp is located less than a mile away from the house. Some consider this within walking distance, some do not due to a very steep hill. There is parking next to the ramp if you decide to drive down to the slip. Is the fireplace in the living room functioning? Unfortunately, the fireplace in the living room is a non-functioning fireplace. How much parking do you have? There is enough parking for 3 vehicles and a boat trailer. Is there air conditioning? Yes, we installed a new central air and heat unit in 2018.

This home is situated on a large, wooded lot with awesome lake views. Our home currently features three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Bedroom #1 offers a luxury king-size adjustable bed, closet and attached private bath. Bedroom #2 also has a large closet with a queen-size bed. Bedroom #3 contains a full and bunk beds. There are also (2) La-Z-Boy sleeper sofas. Each sleeping area has it’s own flat screen TV for entertainment. This 2-story home has a full walkout basement with patio, grill, picnic table, outdoor shower, fire pit and additional seating to enjoy the wonderful natural environment and a lake view. The second story has hardwood floors throughout, fireplace, kitchen, dining and living room areas. Our lakefront home is located on Faubush Creek on Lake Cumberland (just across the lake from Conley Bottom Marina and very near to Wolf Creek Marina) and is in the Clearwater Subdivision. It features approx. 2000 square feet plus both covered and open air decking. Our home features four bedrooms (five queen-size beds and two adult size twins (bunkbeds) and two bathrooms (one with bathtub/shower and one with shower). The two-story house features a gas fireplace with stone surround and a fantastic view of the lake. Relax on the front covered porch featuring a two seater bench and swing or, opt for the 3/4 wrap around deck overlooking the lake with outdoor lighting and speakers. The master bedroom is located on the main level and has sliding doors leading on to the rear deck. Upstairs has two further bedrooms in an open concept plan although one of the bedrooms is a bit more private – this room has a queen size bed and closet. The other bedroom upstairs contains two queen size beds, full bathroom, closet and another deck. These upstairs bedrooms are open concept and do not have doors. Accessible either via the side deck stairs or out the front door and around the house is another private bedroom with a queen size bed, bunk beds (large enough for adults) with a couch and TV/DVD player. Our family uses this as the Kid's Cave but we've had visitors who've used it for a family of 4 with the adults in the queen size bed and the two children in the bunk beds. This room has the best views of the lake! There is a large collection of games and cards for evening entertainment. Our home is within walking distance of the boat ramp, however, some will find it difficult to walk back up the boat ramp as this is quite steep. It is also possible to drive and park your car at the boat ramp. We have a large driveway available for boat/jet ski and multiple car parking. It is very easy to park your boat in our driveway and move it back and forth to the boat ramp or ask about using our boat slip. The steep decline of our neighborhood ramp could require a 4x4.

Our family typically goes to nearby Lee's Ford Marina (1.5 miles away) and rents a pontoon boat to enjoy the many coves that dot the shoreline of Lake Cumberland. 2) Are particular dates available? Since we don't accept personal checks and guests pay via credit card directly through the site, the calendar is always up to date. So, if the dates are open on the calendar, they're all yours! 3) What are the closest marinas? Lee's Ford Marina is just down the road (1.5 miles) and Burnside Marina is 9 miles away. Both marinas have a boat ramp, boat rentals, restaurants, and beautiful settings. 4) Is there air conditioning in the cabin? Yes, the cabin stays cozy and comfortable with central heat and air (new unit installed in 2014) 5) How many parking spots are available? There are 2 official parking spots, and one is large enough for a boat to be parked if needed. There is also a long driveway that could be used for additional parking if needed. 6) Are your rates negotiable? Unfortunately, no. You can't put a price on great memories!

It is nestled in the edge the woods on a dead end road in the Harbor Springs Community with only a few residence so no through traffic, creating a quiet vacation retreat. We have a huge concrete driveway that will fit multiple cars, trucks or suvs. There is plenty of room to park your boat, personal watercraft or trailer if you choose to dock your boat for the weekend. The main floor has one large bedroom (King Bed) with attached full bath, kitchen, living room, laundry/pantry. The second floor has an awesome view of the downstairs from the overlooking breezeway that leads to each of the two bedrooms. The first bedroom has 1 queen bed and a bunk bed with plenty of room to spare. It has has an attached full bath that also opens to the second upstairs bedroom. The second bedroom has a king bed. There are ceiling fans in all 3 bedrooms and the main living room area. All Bedrooms have TVs and DVD players for your entertaining needs.

Our third house we chose to add to Lake Vista Properties. Jack is one of two side by side cottages located in the old tourist spot in Burnside KY known as Villager Resort. This space was in desperate need of a makeover! With the beautiful Lake Cumberland right at your fingertips, private dock access, and a coin operated tram that can take you and all of your belongings down to the dock, we wanted to undergo a total remodel of the cottage. And, Burnside Marina is only 2 miles away and General Burnside Island boat ramp is 3.5 miles away! Jack, with a classic all American boy theme, is right next to Diane, in an eclectic bohemian theme, so they are perfect for hosting large groups, separate but together! Jack has an assortment of flea market finds scattered about the space. We focused the decor with the all American boy in mind regardless of the state the were from. A handmade farmhouse style table that can comfortably seat 6, or more, sets in the open space in front of some windows. Cedar accents are located in the bathroom which carries a great smell in a small space. There is a bunk room that houses a twin bunk and a twin over full bunk. The other bedroom has a king bed. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. For your personal convenience we chose to place a washer/dryer in the cottage for you to use. Obviously my husband loves this space, but so do my girls! The cottage is privately owned by us but housed in an HOA community.There is plenty of parking available as well as space to take a walk. The property also has a heated pool, tennis court, batting cages, picnic area, bagged ice for purchase on site, fishing and swimming is allowed off the dock, and a charcoal grill that is available to you during your stay. Be sure to bring your own recreational towels, lifejackets, fishing gear, floats ect.

Our fifth house we chose to add to Lake Vista Properties. We chose this house for its unique A-frame style and the wall to wall glass that makes up the back of the house. The view of Lake Cumberland is amazing at certain times of the year. Therefore, we named the property Window Lake. The majority of the home is lined in cedar. The main level holds a full size bathroom with a washer and dryer, a bedroom with a queen size bed, kitchen, and living area that also has a queen sleeper sofa. Deck access is off the living area. A set of stairs takes you to the loft that holds a king bed and has access to a small Juliet deck that faces the front of the property. Window Lake sits on an acre and a half and plenty of room to enjoy the outside with play. A fire pit area is located in the perfect spot to be able to enjoy the lake view at dusk. Parking space is available on the driveway which has been recently modified to accommodate a boat and trailer, there is also a covered shelter to park underneath.

This space was in desperate need of a makeover! With the beautiful Lake Cumberland right at your fingertips, private dock access, and a coin operated tram that can take you down to the dock, we wanted to undergo a total remodel of the cottage. And, Burnside Marina is only 1.5 miles away! Diane, with an eclectic bohemian theme, is right next to Jack, in a classic all American boy theme, so they are perfect for hosting large groups, separate but together! The space is decorated with a unique personal touch and items made by my family and I. The bedrooms house king platform beds made of pine with floating shelves on each side. The bathroom is finished off with hints of handmade cedar items that release a wonderful smell in the small space. The sunroom area is off of the living room finished off with different wood pieces on the wall, deck style floor, 2 ceiling fans, and numerous windows. You can take in the warmth of the sun, open up the windows and feel the breeze and smell the fresh air, or listen to the rain hit the metal roof! For your personal convenience we also chose to put a washer/dryer in the cottage for you to use. We made the most of this space and brought it back to life. Honestly, I could relax here all day! The cottage is privately owned by us but housed in an HOA community.There is plenty of parking available as well as space to take a walk. Fishing Creek Cottage overlooks Fishing Creek, a popular recreational area on Lake Cumberland & a major arm of the lake. Looking from the deck, Pulaski County Park and its beach and boat ramp can be seen across the lake. Boaters frequent the Fishing Creek area to ski & tube, but are distant enough that noise isn't an issue. Fishing Creek Cottage is located at the end of a quiet street in a residential neighborhood, and is the last house on the street so has relative privacy. Please read all of the description and "Frequently Asked Questions" before booking so that you are absolutely sure our home works for you. Most of our past guests' questions have been addressed in the "FAQ's." We have an incredible lakefront view that you can enjoy while grilling dinner on the gas grill, sitting by the fire pit, or watching all of the boating action on the lake just below. The view from our large deck includes the popular recreational area on Fishing Creek, a major arm of Lake Cumberland, and parts of Pulaski County State Park. Our entire cottage has been updated. The kitchen includes a full-size stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, and small-space dishwasher and is fully stocked with cook and dishware, including a toaster, coffee pot, and a Keurig. The great room and bedroom have hardwood floors. The bathroom, which has a shower only, has been completely remodeled. There is ample room for parking your boat in the driveway, as well as at least two cars. The cottage is one mile from Lee's Ford Marina and Harbor Restaurant and just five miles from Somerset. The master bedroom, loft, and great room all have televisions and DVD players and cable and the home has WiFi. There is a washer and dryer for your use. The deck includes a table with seating for 4 as well as 4 Adirondack-style chairs for use around the fire pit or to just relax and enjoy the view. The master bedroom sleeps two and the loft sleeps two. There is also a toddler-sized cot and booster seat for the kitchen table if needed. Please keep in mind our cottage is an A-frame with a somewhat steep flight of stairs to the loft. No. Our home is on a cliff. The best access to the lake in terms of location to Fishing Creek Cottage is at Lee's Ford Marina or Pulaski County State Park. Is there room for our boat in your driveway? Yes. We keep our boat in the driveway during our stays. When you book with us, be sure to read the guest info about suggestions for parking your boat. Is there a dock nearby? Yes. Lee's Ford Marina is about a mile down the road. You can launch your boat for $8 or dock your boat there for about $30 per night. **On Labor Day weekend 2019 the marina charged $30 for parking and did not have open slips available for overnight storage.** They also have boats, wave runners, and paddle boards available for rental. Fishing Creek Recreational Area is three miles away and is $5 to launch. Pulaski County State Park is 3.9 miles away and they offer free public launching. Is there swimming nearby? Lake Cumberland is surrounded by many cliffs. Swimming usually occurs from boats. Nearby swimming is available at Pulaski County State Park where they have a small beach. Do you have life jackets or other equipment available? We do not. You will need to provide your own equipment or contact Lee's Ford Marina about rental rates. Is your home pet-friendly? It is! However, there is a $50 pet fee per stay and we allow only 1 pet. Your pet must be under 40 pounds. You must agree to these rules: pet must be leashed when outside the home, pet must be crated when alone inside the home, pet will not be permitted on furniture or beds, Guest will provide a pet bed during stay, all waste must be cleaned up and disposed of properly by Guest, pet must be housebroken, pet must be on a flea/tick prevention during stay. What do you provide during my stay? What do I need to bring? We will be sure you have toilet paper, tissues, dish washing liquid and dishwasher soap. Towels and bed linens are provided. We try and keep extra supplies like bar soap, shampoo, and razors under the bathroom sink just in case you forget them. You may need to supply extra paper towels depending on your usage, laundry detergent if you plan to do laundry, and firewood for use with the outside fire pit.
